Silicone Mold Vacuum Casting
Silicone Mold Vacuum Casting services
Using the original master pattern to produce a silicon mould in vacuum. Pouring the PU material and then clone the same product. The advantage of technology is high speed, low cost, greatly reduce production designing costs, timing and risk. And it plays a positive role in promoting the products creation and improving the products competition.

Key Process Steps
Step 1: Master Pattern Preparation
- A 3D-printed, CNC-machined, or hand-finished master model is created (usually from resin, wax, or ABS).
- Surface finishing (sanding, polishing) ensures a smooth mold cavity.
Step 2: Silicone Mold Making
- The master is placed in a molding box, and liquid silicone rubber (LSR) is poured over it.
- The silicone cures at room temperature (or slightly heated) for 4–24 hours.
- Once cured, the mold is cut open, and the master is removed, leaving a precise negative cavity.
Step 3: Vacuum Casting
- Liquid resin (polyurethane, epoxy, or specialty plastic) is mixed and degassed under vacuum to remove air bubbles.
- The resin is poured into the silicone mold, which is then placed in a vacuum chamber to ensure complete filling.
- The mold may be rotated (slush casting) for even distribution in complex geometries.
Step 4: Curing & Demolding
- The resin cures at room temperature or in an oven (accelerated curing).
- After curing (1–4 hours), the part is carefully removed from the mold.
- Post-processing (trimming, painting, assembly) is applied if needed.
Step 5: Reuse & Mold Life
- A single silicone mold can produce ~20–50 parts before degradation.
- For larger batches, multiple molds are made from the same master.

Advantages of Silicone Mold Vacuum Casting
- Fast Prototyping – Quick mold production (1-3 days).
- Low Cost – Cheaper than injection molding for small batches.
- High Detail – Captures fine textures & complex geometries.
- Material Variety – Supports resins (ABS-like, flexible, transparent).
- Small Batch Friendly – Ideal for 10-50 pieces.
- No High-Temp Tooling – Room-temperature curing preserves details.
Best for: Prototypes, custom parts, low-volume production.
